Harriet’s Story

My name is Harriet, and I am proud to be the first in my entire family lineage to go beyond grade 7. For generations, education was out of reach for my family, but today I am changing that story.

I am now in secondary school, almost finishing Grade 10, and every day I walk into class with hope and determination. My dream is to become a doctor — not only to uplift myself but to give back to my community. I have seen the struggles of people in my village when medical help is far away or too costly, and I want to be part of the solution.

Education has given me the courage to dream beyond what once seemed impossible. Each step I take is not just for me, but for my family and for all the girls who will come after me. I want to show them that no matter where you begin, with support and perseverance, your future can be different.
