πŸŒ„ From Story to Foundation

By Joseph Sabiiti, Founding Director

One conversation on a safari in Uganda changed the course of my life and eventually the lives of many others.

In 2013, I completed my first degree at Uganda’s leading university, made possible through a government scholarship. After graduating, I worked as a safari guide, sharing the beauty and culture of Uganda with visitors from around the world.

In 2015, during one of those safaris, I met a traveler, Mr. Pierre Magnan, whose generosity would change my path forever. After hearing my story, Pierre and his family β€” Dory, Loic, and Geneve β€” offered to sponsor me to Canada. This opportunity allowed me to return to school, begin working, and build a new life.

In 2023, my Canadian family visited my home village in Uganda. Witnessing the challenges students still faced moved them deeply. After returning to Canada, they shared a vision with me: to create something that could offer the same life-changing opportunity to others.

That vision became Rama Hills Foundation. It is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty through education. As Founding Director, I am honored to help lead an initiative rooted in gratitude, driven by compassion, and focused on creating opportunities for the next generation.

πŸ•ŠοΈ A Shared Mission

Rama Hills exists to pass that opportunity forward β€” one child, one story, one future at a time.
